Recover from Panda

Every now and then, Google updates the way in which it ranks websites; these “Panda” updates happened most recently back in the spring and again this past October. If your site was hurt by the updates, don’t fret and don’t give up; get active!. If you haven’t already, check out the Affiliate Buzz podcast with hosts James (Affiliate Marketing veteran of 10+years) and Arlene Martel that discuss how to regain your ground after being hit by Google Panda updates. • Be sure to have original content on your website that is of good quality.
  • When it comes to checks, I would suggest that you make your own category names and write your own descriptions for the checks and other products that you post. Research the checks a little bit and add some facts into your descriptions. For example, when writing a description for dog checks, look up those breeds of dogs and put some fun facts into your descriptions.
  • Write an introduction to each category and fill it with real information on that category.
  • Write original informative articles about checks on your site.
  • Quality content is detailed in Part 3 of the podcasts above
  • Consider utilizing social media tools on your site so users can share what they see and like about your site.
  • Avoid duplicate content completely, even when linking to your own site from another one of your own sites.
  • Check out the backlinks that are leading to your site from other sites and make sure sites you are being linked to from are QUALITY sites.
